Instructor/choreographer for 20+ years, Hazel holds a BA in dance from San Jose State University and founded Kairos Dance Company in 2006. Full length contemporary works include: 2017’s ‘Light in the Moonless Midnight’ (erasing the mental illness stigma), 2018’s ‘Paradigm’ (social media and mental health,), and 2019’s ‘She Speaks’ (Women’s empowerment), at Tim Robbin’s Actors’ Gang Ivy Substation. Kairos uses dance as a platform to bring social awareness to the community. Musical Theater choreography credits include the LA Times’ Critic’s Choice “A Chorus Line” and the Ovation Winners “Lizzie- the Musical” and “Fun Home (Chance Theater), and Right Angle Entertainment’s National Tour of “Musical Thrones”. Clarke teaches performing arts in the South Bay.
